The Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul is situated in Lingfield, Surrey. Originally constructed by the Saxons, it was re-built by Sir Reginald Cobham in the early 15th century whose tomb can still be seen in front of the High Altar.

Lingfield Parish Church is Grade 1 listed and has a double nave which is a rare feature. The building is especially notable for its collection of tombs and brasses - the largest in Surrey.

We are proud of our building, but the real church is the people who actively support us and come from every walk of life.

The Church hosts a variety of activities throughout the year, notably our annual fete in June. There is plenty of opportunity for parishioners to get involved in bell ringing; the Church Choir; Flower Guild; the Mother’s Union or the Parochial Church Council (PCC).

For the younger generation we provide activities most weeks of the year suited for those from pre-school age through to teenagers.

On every second Monday of the month from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, we host Messy Church for families who might want to meet Jesus, belong to their local church and bring up their children as Christians, but can’t cope with traditional Sunday morning church services.

Our mission is to build God’s kingdom in our hearts and homes, in our church and community and beyond. God’s kingdom is where God’s will is done, and where God’s will is done there is love, joy and peace.

Please don’t hesitate to approach any one of the Church representatives listed on the Contacts page, who will be able to  give you more information about the area of church life you may wish to explore, or take an active interest. We hope you may be able to join us on our spiritual journey to learn about God and building God’s kingdom together.
